Here is a super sketchy but cool looking stadium (I think) that is right next to Acropolis, the mall where we go to eat and email. It was never finished, so it is just a half made and empty stadium sitting there.

I dropped her off at the Kaunas church before heading back to Vilnius with Sister Hubert. Here are the Kaunas sisters, Sister Nealy, Hubert, Brown, Madison, Seamond, and I.

This is my second exchange with Sister Hubert, while our companions went to the zone training in Riga. It rained while we were out contacting, and we forgot an umbrella. We got pretty soaked! So we had to take a pic

Our Lithuanian food meal at Can Can Pizza. I think the big one is bliniai, so potato stuff filled with meat. Then the little dumplings filled with meat also. Very good.

This is Giedre, one of the Elder's investigators. She is super sweet, I love her so much. She was a pirate. I am an old lady or nerd, whatever you like.

My other grandma sisters because we all wore fake glasses. Sister Argyle and Sister Bestenleihner, who are in Vilnius too. This is a member, and she reminds me of Amy! She looks just like her and is so cute, sassy and all. I had to get a picture of her for Ames :)

Haha, this is kind of sketchy, but it is just Eric the professional soccer player. He is super sweet and nice, so it is kind of funny he was a mob member for Halloween at the party.

It was All Saints Day, or Day of the Dead, a special holiday instead of Halloween where they honor the dead and their ancestors by putting candles on the graves. We got to visit one, and it was very pretty. Here is one grave

Laba Diena!

We had a great week this past week! We stayed very busy, so it went by really fast! We were able to visit two members, Birute and Zavila. We went over for dinner and to teach them a lesson. To our greatest surprise, Zavila brought her friend to eat with us, and he is a nonmember! We were so happy to have him and were able to talk about the Book of Mormon. He seems very sincere, so we hope to be able to meet with him and talk more about the gospel. That usually doesn't happen, so we were so excited to be able to meet with him. Our members here are so awesome!

I was able to go on two exchanges with Sister Hubert

while our companions were doing exchanges in Kaunas and went to Riga for a leadership training.

 We stayed in my area in Vilnius, so it was pretty cool to be in charge of the area.  We talked to a lot of great people.

We also made curry, which I have never had before. It is really good! I am having quite the food experience, and it's great!

Sister Madison hit her one year mark, so we had fun celebrating by being missionaries and getting Lithuanian gelato.

We had a Halloween Branch party with the Lithuanian and Russian branches combined. It was so great to bring everyone together and see a few nonmembers there. We had fun seeing everyone's costumes and doing fun activities and feeling the spirit.

We sisters made donuts and that was quite the experience! I really do love the members here in Lithuania. They are so good to support each other and stay strong in the gospel and share it with others. They are so loving of everyone and a great example to me.

We had some very cool experiences with finding people. We were able to knock some apartment doors, which can be a bit interesting most of the time. But we found this girl who seems really interested in our message. I know that God is preparing people to receive His gospel, and we just need to find them.  

On Sunday we had District conference, so all of the branches saw a broadcast from Salt Lake. Also, we tried eel for fun last preparation day, and it was super nasty! I have never tasted anything so gross. Don't eat the eel when you come to Lithuania.

We also visited a graveyard for All Saint's Day to see the pretty candles that are lit in order to remember their ancestors. It was very pretty.

We are very excited for the next week to talk with people about the gospel! I know that God is aware of each of His children and that He wants us to be happy. We do this by living His gospel every single day of our lives and by willingly doing His will.  I love you all very much!

This week was just super great!

We started off with transfer calls! Sister Madison and I are staying in Vilnius, which is what we were expecting since i am training. I am super happy to stay here. We were told to move this week though into a different apartment. So that took quite a bit of time, but we made it. Now we live a lot closer to the church, which is super nice. We might not be living in our area anymore, but we just ride on over to it.  We have the best apartment in the mission because it used to belong to a senior couple that lived here. So you could say we are living the life here in Lithuania! Sister Madison is also Sister Training leader, so that will be exciting.

This past week we met with Jonas, our awesome investigator! He met with the missionaries about two years ago and was really interested but too busy to meet again. So now he has a little time to meet with us once a week. He is so amazing because he has awesome questions and is truly an honest seeker. He accepts what we teach him and works to read the Book of Mormon at least thirty minutes everyday! He wants to finish it by the second week of December. We are so grateful to have to the opportunity to teach him.  He has been prepared by the Lord. We are excited to continue meeting with him. 

I got to see Elder Hassell, one of my teaching companions from the MTC, because he is now serving in Vilnius! He got here on Tuesday, so it has been so fun to see him.

The other sister companion ship along with us are in a district with the Russian Elders now because there are so many of us. The five Lithuanian Elders are in their own district, so that keeps it interesting. 

We have had a great week talking with people and enjoying the nice weather.

I know that God is preparing people for the gospel. If we are willing to open our mouths and share it with them, their lives will be deeply blessed. I know that God is moving His work forward in His way and time. I know that he wants each of us to return to Him. I love all of you so much!
